The course saw pupils from Ysgol Syr Thomas Jones, and Canolfan Menai, Llanfairpwll taking part in the week's activitieswhich were held at Amlwch Fire Station.

Assistant Chief Fire Officer Richard Fairhead, was in attendance during the final day of the course, said: "It is always a pleasure to attend the passing out parade with the Phoenix team, and to present the individuals taking part with their certificates of completion.

"Knowing how far they've come during the week's training, hearing the ways in which they've developed over such a short period of time gives me a great sense of pride, and is proof that the project is a successful one, and is an effective one.

"We hope now that these young people won't forget their experiences over the past week, and will begin to utilise their new found skills and confidence, in all walks of life, helping them to become stronger people."
