Crews were called to a fire in a building on River Lane Industrial Estate, Saltney at 11.39am on Tuesday 13^th May.

Two appliances from Deeside, one from Cheshire, one from Wrexham and one from Holywell, along with an Ariel Ladder Platform from Wrexham and from Rhyl, the High Volume Pump from Llandudno and the Environmental Protection Unit from Wrexham are in attendance at the incident.

The fire involves recycled waste which is resulting in black smoke being visible in the area.

Natural Resources Wales has officers on site to assist the North Wales Fire and Rescue Service and assess the potential impact of this incident on the environment.

Residents in the River Lane area of Saltney are advised to keep doors and windows shut and residents in the local area have been evacuated.
